Margarida Santos Revesso, better known as A Miúda dos Saltos Altos (The Girl in High Heels) in the world of social networks, joined us this week to talk a little about her life as a blogger and how she perceives trends, which are ever changing. She also tells us about her dreams and her life, divided by a full-time job and a constant dedication to her blog. Fascinated by fashion since her childhood, Margarida's style is defined by outfits with both simplicity and refinement, using accessories that value her look and her body and not being afraid to take risks either with colors or patterns. Nowadays, fashion brands launch new products in a weekly basis (fast-fashion). Is it important to you to choose products that you know will last longer than trends?
No doubt about it, it is essential to make sure that we’re not going to get tired of what we’re buying in a few months and that it is of good quality.
What makes a piece of clothing or an accessory timeless for you?
It can’t be too trendy because otherwise we’ll get bored of it in no time.
What piece of clothing or accessory have you been wearing the longest?
Earrings, I feel naked when I’m not wearing them.

What is the best fashion advice you can give to your followers?
You should only wear what makes you feel good!
You’ve always felt a strong connection to fashion. In your opinion, how can someone who doesn’t have such an intrinsic characteristic create a unique style, an identity, in the way they dress?
I think the connection to fashion doesn’t need to come from childhood, it is essential that we can feel good and comfortable with some trendy pieces, always giving our personal touch, either through our taste or our physical characteristics.

Who was the person that you most enjoyed meeting with?
I've already said that the most wonderful thing about the blogging world is people, so I can’t just choose only one person.
Who is your biggest reference in the fashion world (blogger, celebrity, model, designer ...)?
Helena Bordon, she is always very elegant either she’s wearing jeans and a white t-shirt or with a super trendy dress!
Margarida mixes pearls (a trend that can be seen this Summer) with a classic look and her Gaia Black watch.
Did you ever think, when you created your blog, that you would have so many followers? How do you feel about that?
I would never have guessed, in fact seven years ago, I didn’t have the slightest idea of the proportions it could take. But it’s great to know that there are so many people following my work.
How is your life as a blogger? Do you have to reconcile writing and photography with a normal full-time job?
I work in management consulting, so that’s not easy to reconcile with the blog, especially when it comes to events, but when you enjoy what you’re doing, you can always manage it.
In a world as “serious” as the one of management consulting, do you think that having a blog that made you a public figure is an asset, or is it an area of your life that you choose to separate completely?
I like to completely separate the two worlds, because they are very different. However my colleagues know the existence of the blog, and even like and support it. In fact, one of my colleagues even takes me quite a few pictures, all during lunch time, which I then use on Instagram.
However the blog is not at all an escape to this world, because it was born when I was still in college, over the years it has become a personal project with some dimension, for which I am very proud and affectionate.
Would you like to work exclusively on your blog? What would that entail?
For sure, I would love to work solely on my blog, there are a lot of invitations that I have to turn down because I don’t have time. However, that would cost me my life as a consultant, which I also like a lot.
In what ways can blogs change the fashion world?
In every way! Both the way people perceive fashion and how brands reach people.
What is your biggest dream?
Travel around the world.
