In an era where you can filter and select digital information, fashion and lifestyle blogs are becoming more and more empowered. Sometimes, the idea that you get from a blog or a simple post doesn’t reveal the work behind it. Because of that, Timeless Watches decided to interview Portuguese bloggers, asking them about work, dreams and timelessness in fashion versus the world of consumerism and fast-fashion..
Our first guest is Alexandra Neto from Xanalicious blog. Alexandra works in digital marketing and beauty contents and on her blog she explores trends, shares and suggests cool thing to buy and talks about beauty products. If you can’t decide on what to wear, Alexandra has smart and fun suggestions for every occasion. She doesn’t want to take blogging too seriously so she always keeps a very sweet and fun tone, writing in a super relaxed way. Here’s the opportunity to get to know her better.
Nowadays, fashion brands launch new products in a weekly basis (fast-fashion). Is it important to you to choose products that you know will last longer than trends?
Very important. In fact, it's essential: I never buy a piece for "the moment", I always think in long-term.
What makes a piece of clothing or an accessory timeless for you?
Imagine myself wearing it 1 and 10 years from now, in a more classic style.
What piece of clothing or accessory have you been wearing the longest?
Clock, I use it since I was 6 and I hate it when I leave home without it.

What is the best fashion advice you can give to your followers?
Slow-down: on consumption, essentially. Think about and enjoy the trends and purchases we make in the long run.
In your opinion, how can one create a unique style, an identity, a way of dressing?
Lots of visual inspiration and a lot of self-knowledge, which comes from accepting what we like without fears.
How do you characterize your style?
Classic with a twist.
Who was the person that you most enjoyed meeting with?
In this context, Vic Ceridono (brazilian beauty blogger and youtuber). Incredible, super "down-to-earth" and very intelligent.
Who is your biggest reference in the fashion world?
Elin Kling (swedish blogger and entrepreneur), for her charisma and incredible career path.

Elin Kling - swedish blogger and entrepreneur
What motivated you to create a blog?
The willing to write and have someone with whom I could share my taste for fashion and trends (oh well, and consumerism).
How is your life as a blogger? Do you have to reconcile writing and photography with a normal full-time job?
I try to face it without stress or pressure, but with a lot of responsibility. That is, it is a hobby but I know that I have (fortunately!!) many readers who like to read what I write and I try to keep the blog updated with interesting content. But when I can’t think of anything to publish or it does not flow naturally, I do not publish anything in it - and I try not to torment myself with it! Fortunately, I work in marketing and with digital content, therefore I usually feel inspired to apply to my own project things I learn daily at work.
In what ways can blogs change the fashion world?
They have already changed a lot especially in the last 5/7 years. The way how we communicate, the platforms, the media, the formats. Everything has changed! Fortunately. But there is more change to com, I still do not believe that all this is stabilized.
What is your biggest dream?
I have several, luckily I have had the privilege of making a lot of them come true.
Tell us something your readers/followers don’t know about you.
I partially owe my job to my 8-year-old blog!
What is the best attribute of Portuguese brands?
Quality, no doubt.
What is your favorite timepiece from Timeless Watches and which would you pick as a gift for your best friend?
Gaia Red - Leaving black behind and picking a color that I love and also consider a classic: red! I would use it and recommend to any friend with a feminine or minimal style!
